may the odds...

Is anyone else excited for this movie??
I LOVED these books. I will admit that last summer when I tried to read the first book, I was bored within the first few pages. Chris told me I was lame because he was reading them and couldn't put it down. In fact he finished the series within a month or so.

After I had heard quite a bit of talk on the series, and a movie trailer was released, I decided to give it another go (Chris also said I couldn't go to the movie with him without having read the books). Oh boy was I crazy for not reading this series sooner. It was so good!! It also helped that I was reading it on my brand new Kindle at the time and so not only did I want to use that, but I also wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen next.

Just last week I finished the last book of the series. (I wont ruin anything I promise) I wasn't a huge fan of how quickly it ended. There were some things that happened that I definitely did not see coming, but overall I loved the books and will definitely be reading them again.

The only other thing I have to say is:

Team Peeta

(for those that are confused, read the books and you'll understand!)

  1. My friend let me borrow the book in the summer of 2009. I tried really hard to get into it but like you I was bored. My friends kept telling me "you just have to get through the first 100 pages, but I couldn't. Then I was going on a cross country road trip the following summer and thought I would give it another try. This time I got through the first 100 pages and couldn't put it down. I read the 1st and 2nd book in 4 days (The third book wasn't out yet.) I feel the same way as you do about the 3rd book. I wish we could have gotten 15 more pages added on to the end. Then I would have been a happy camper. I can't wait to see it!!

If you like this series you should try the Maze runner series next. It is similar and also very good. That author is in the process of having it made into a movie as well.
