our anniversary

Well, we did it! We made it a year. I can't even believe time has flown by that fast! Looking back though, Chris and I have done a lot --

We've moved half way across the country twice within a weeks time, been on a ton of trips, I've caught 7 fish thanks to Chris, seen lots of movies, been to some fabulous restaurants, met some great friends, played some awesome rounds of cards/settlers of catan/ticket to ride, and most excitingly got a dog!

So as one can see we've been pretty busy, plus add in school and working...!

Here's a run down of how our anniversary went:

Chris had to work Saturday morning, which was a bit of a bummer, but it was only until 2. Thanks to the awesomeness that is Chris, I woke up to this:

Amazing, right? Yeah I was so surprised! Chris did really good.

After Chris got back from work, we grabbed Sadie and headed up to our spot on the Y with some lunch, and our presents for each other. It was such a beautiful afternoon! The weather was so nice and it was so fun being up there with Chris and Sadie.

(Isn't she so big!!! It's crazy)

(He's going to look so good in that jersey! Too
bad the season is over...)

(The BEAUTIFUL necklace that Chris gave me!)

After our fun afternoon picnic with our Sadie girl, we headed home to change and get ready for our fun evening in Salt Lake, and oh man was it fun! It was so gorgeous at Temple Square. We couldn't have asked for a better anniversary.

 (Isn't he handsome!!)

For dinner we went to The Roof in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was SO yummy. Oh my word. The buffet had amazing food and the desserts...don't judge us, but we may have gotten two plates full of random things to try. We didn't even come close to finishing any of it, but it was so delicious!!

After dinner we headed over to City Creek. Have you been here yet?? Oh man is it cool! Chris and I have been before, but we wanted to go back. Besides Chris had another surprise for me...a new pair of shoes. A girls dream!

When we got home we got to enjoy part of our wedding cake that's been sitting in our freezer for a year. I was worried that it was going to taste really gross, but it was actually really yummy. It tasted like our cake on the day of our wedding! I was sad that we were so full because I would've eaten more than just a few bites.

(Sorry for my crazy eyes...and look at Sadie in the background,
she totally wants that cake in my hand.)

Overall, it was an amazing one year anniversary. I have loved being married to Christopher James, and can't wait for the many years of adventure to come.
