famous chicken salad sandwich

I've had a good handful of people ask me for the recipe for my chicken salad sandwiches.  It's one of my favorite things to make, especially during these hot summer days!

What you need :

*side note - I usually only measure the mayo and sour cream, and everything else is based on taste, and what I want.  But here are measurements to start off with*

1 cup of Mayo (any kind)
1 cup of Sour Cream
2 cans of chicken, shredded - can use 2 cups of cooked if preferred
4 stalks of celery
2 cups of red grapes, sliced in half
2 Tbsp. Garlic Salt
2 tsp. Pepper
Cashews
Croissants, or any bread of choice

Makes enough for 6-8 large sandwiches depending on how much you put in each one.

First start off by mixing both the mayo and sour cream together in a bowl.

Cut up your celery into little pieces like so, and set aside.

Add your shredded chicken into the bowl of the mayo and sour cream mixture.  Once that's mixed, add your celery.

Next add your cut up grapes to the mixture, and stir until well blended.  Once you've done that, add your garlic salt and pepper.  Mix, and then taste it.  If it needs more garlic salt, then add it!

After all your ingredients have been added, let it chill for at least an hour, I usually like to do a few hours, so that way it's nice and chilled!

Serve on a croissant roll, topped with some lettuce and cashews for an additional crunch.  You've got a great summer meal that's quick and easy to make, and sure to be a crowd pleaser :)
