hawaii : part I

hilo & kona

Hawaii was amazing!  We couldn't believe how quickly it came (and how quickly it passed).  We flew out on a Tuesday morning and landed in our final stop - Hilo - later that night.  Boy was it a LONG day of flying!  Glad I had my kindle and iPad to keep me company for the whole time.

We spent our first two days with the McNulty grandparents who live on the Big Island.  They showed us all around Hilo and Kona.  We got to see the lava fields, some of the beautiful beaches, including a black sand beach, a few waterfalls, and the Kona Temple!  Everything was amazing, and so beautiful.
