baby update #12 : 34 weeks

Prego Highlights

How far along : 34 weeks and 5 days ( and feeling rather large... )

Size of baby : a butternut squash

What's developing this week :  Baby "M" is between 4.2 and 5.8 lbs., and is measuring between 17 and 18 inches long!  He's also starting to recognize songs that I sing, and is moving like crazy!

Progression :  (I figured this would be a good one since I'm nearing the end, and people will start asking me where I'm at) All I know so far is that baby is head down, so he's where he needs to be!  Next appointment I'll know where I stand...crazy!

Wedding ring on or off? : On (and still fitting loosely except for when I'm bloated and hot)

Belly button in or out? : In, but it's almost to an outie!

Maternity clothes? :  Still rockin' them!

Cravings / Aversions :  Anything.  Cereal and air popped popcorn are definitely delicious, but pretty much anything tastes good to me these days.  I'm just hungry still.  all. the. time. - this is still true this week!

Symptoms :  Back isn't hurting as much as before, but occasionally I'll still feel some pain.  I'm also getting a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions.  Still haven't been consistent enough to worry.  They are just uncomfortable and annoying at times.  Still a little bit of heartburn as well.  

Prego Funnies :  I've gotten a tad bit bigger in the last few weeks, so bending over is really a struggle.  Chris and I laugh at how huge I've gotten and how the simplest things aren't so simple for me anymore...sad day! 

Things I Miss :  Being able to bend over without getting a foot in my ribs!

Special Moments :  Baby "M" is moving a ton, and I still have loved being able to feel him every time.  Some of our good friends had their baby this past week, and Chris and I have been able to visit with them a few times.  It's so fun to see such a darling little baby and know that we get to have ours soon enough.  I can't stop thinking of how it's just around the corner!  

We also pretty much finished the baby's nursery this past weekend.  The reveal to come very soon!!  Having things hung up on the wall, and put in their rightful place has really made things real for me.  Now to just add that last little detail...the baby :)
